Mathematical modelling in mechanics: completed projects

Mathematical models in yacht design

When designing yachts, we create mathematical models that allow us to estimate the loads on the hull and mast of the yacht.

Exoskeleton balancing

For the Exochair project (passive exoskeleton of the lower body), we created a program that balances the forces coming to the exoskeleton (belt tightening forces, passenger pressure forces, friction force on the ground, etc.).

Simulation of efforts in a sports equipment

We performed an analysis of the kinematics and dynamics of one of the Street Barbell strength training equipment. Our model allows to choose the optimal leverage lengths: such that when performing a sports movement, the load increases as smoothly as possible.

Determination of efforts in the pneumatic muscle

We have created a mathematical model for finding the optimal attachment points of the pneumatic muscles in the area of the elbow joint of a mechanical arm (in the picture to the left, a thick black line symbolizes the shoulder and forearm). The program allows you to determine working range of loads both in the muscle itself and in the elbow joint.
